Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick is a native of Bakersfield, CA. He won the 1998 Winston West Series Championship before moving to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series briefly, during which time he was introduced to car owner Richard Childress, who offered him a ride in the NASCAR Busch Series. Harvick went on to win 2000 Rookie of the Year honors in the NASCAR Busch Series. In 2001, Harvick assumed driving duties for Childress in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, driving the GM Goodwrench Chevrolet, while also racing full time in the Busch Series. He was the first driver in history to do both, and set another precedent with his success when he emerged as the 2001 NASCAR Busch Series Champion and the 2001 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Rookie of the Year.

Harvick is still a highly successful driver for Childress in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, and also owns Kevin Harvick, Inc. with his wife, DeLana. KHI fields the No. 6 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team, the No. 33 NASCAR Busch Series team and the No. 33 Winston West Series team.
